2 week project underway to install 440m2 of 300x100mm Basketweave floor tiles including full preparation works. 6 tilers on site alongside 3 floor layers who are installing 250m2 of bespoke patterned Ege carpet and back of house vinyl flooring over 3 floors in this new Flannels store.
This week WH completed the flooring works on a modular extension for a new ward at West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven.
The project consisted of smooth Polyflor Pallettone and Forest Fx vinyl sheet to ward areas, all with set-in coved skirtings and safety vinyl in wet areas with capped and coved skirtings.
This recently completed project was a re-fresh of the hotel’s bar and bar seating area, extending into the hotel entrance and check in area.
Old carpet was stripped up and replaced with Karndean LVT laid to a 3 colour mix herringbone pattern to match up with a previously installed seating area.
The Newhey Patina carpet was installed on a Durafit 650 double stick underlay system with contrasting Marlings safety stair nosings installed to all changes in levels.
This week we have started H&M Basingstoke. 1300m2 of floor tiling plus back of house marmoleum flooring. The job was awarded to us after the success of previous project for H&M.
WH have been successful in securing a number of flooring, tiling, wall cladding and timber flooring contracts over the past week.
We have sourced new customers through LinkedIn and word of mouth, alongside new contracts secured through our valued existing client base.
Works secured include high end apartment blocks, HMP security cleared contracts and office refurbishments.

Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT) are a great option for both commercial and domestic environments. They are very durable and low maintenance, imitating natural wood and stone designs. This week two of our installers are carrying out an install for one of our long standing clients who specialise in modular buildings. This is a school extension in Southend.
Plywood overlay to chipboard subfloor followed by feather screed to plywood joints and installation of Forbo sheet vinyl. Cap & Coved skirtings installed to Wc and wet areas.
Works to be completed early next week
New build Moto services, Rugby. WH carried out the installations to WH Smiths (LVT and safety vinyl) , Marks & Spencer (LVT, Safety vinyl, wall tiling and hygenic wall cladding), AGC gaming area (Carpet Tiles) and the fuel station (Ceramic floor tiling, entrance matting, LVT and safety vinyl). Works were on site for 4 weeks. Works completed December 2020
Feature customer staircase at Flannels in Kingston Upon Thames. EGE carpet templated on site, whipped to form a stair runner and adhered including CAT antique brass stair nosings. Just awaiting delivery of the stair rods to complete the install ready for store opening. 3 flights, 2 half landings.
WH were one of two architect nominated flooring companies put forward for the for the install of the new flooring at St Patricks Church in Bradford, just 1/4 of a mile from our base. We successfully secured the project and installed over 500m2 of Karndean LVT following a full subfloor preparation using a specialist primer and levelling compound as recommended following survey of the existing subfloor. Works were on site for 3 weeks.
